First of all, it could be the car itself. I bought Conzult and it works fine on my car. I tried hooking it up to another Z one time and it wouldn't detect anything. Try it on another Z if you can. Secondly, is the car already running before you start up the application? I believe the sequence in which you start things matters, and you can't have it running before the car is running/ignition on. So Connect cable to car > Start Car > Start Conzult. Lastly, you can try Nissan Data Scan just to see if it works. La-Z-Link
